ALTAVE is an aerospace industry that develops lighter than air vehicles, focused on the creation of innovative products and services, involving multiple applications. Founded in March 2011 by two engineers newly graduated at ITA (Aeronautics Institute of Technology), ALTAVE first opened in an incubator within the Department of Aerospace Science and Technology (DCTA) and now also has an office at a Technological Park in São José dos Campos. In 2016, ALTAVE became well known internationally due to its successful deployment of four wide area persistent surveillance balloons at the RIO 2016 Olympic Games, ensuring the security of all Olympic venues in Rio de Janeiro. Formed by a young group, committed and willing to learn and share new ideas, ALTAVE is proud to have in its team people who seek excellence in everything they do. The binomial innovation and creativity is not a cliché to us, it’s routine. Our team is formed of qualified engineers with international experience, including MSc and PhD professionals.
